I am back ………
Over three years after my last entry on this blog, I have decided to resume writing. So much has happened since then…….. For a start, I turned 80 last January and so I am now in the ninth decade of my life! My three children are also getting on—one is in her mid-50s, one in her early 40s and the youngest is in his late 30s. Who would have thunk that I would actually have middle-aged children, or close to it! Two months ago, we moved from Tampa to be close to our son, Amit, and his partner, Brett. Three years and counting……
Today marks three years since I started this blog. During this period there have been 74 posts on a variety of subjects which have generated 334 comments from different readers. The blog has had well over 24,000 hits – most were during the second and third years of the blog. This is not a high traffic blog – most blogs that cover a variety of unrelated subjects tend to have a limited following. The traffic this blog has experienced is relatively good given the generalized nature of the blog. The blogs that have repeat visitors are those that address a specific subject whether it is travel, computers, investments, cuisine, humor,…

What’s in a name?
In trying to find a suitable title for this blog, I checked out a lot of sites – including a blog that was started by someone wanting suggestions from readers as to what he/she should name the blog! I settled on “Reflections, Ruminations & Recollections” because it captured what this blog is about. It is not a snazzy title – I am leaving it to my kids, and especially Neeta who is probably the most creative one, to come up with something that has more pizzaz! One does have to be careful when coming up with a name or it could lead to unintended consequences as is only too apparent…
