This blog is not geared to anything specific but I hope to offer, as the title implies, some thoughts and commentary about whatever strikes me at any point in time. I tend to be a voracious reader of the myriad offerings on the net ranging from serious subjects to the frivolous. So, at least some of my postings will likely emanate from these “surfing” activities.<\/p>\n
The map which appears on the header to the blog highlights the four countries – India, Kenya, UK and the US – where I have lived. I was born in India when it was still a colony of Britain and my parents emigrated to Kenya in 1949 – a time when Kenya was a colony of the UK. I lived in Mombasa until 1962 when I moved to the UK after high school to pursue higher studies. In 1971, I emigrated to the US and have lived here ever since. The map on the header shows my path to the countries which have had a dominant influence in my life.<\/p>\n
